The Last Smoke Mask

简介

Lin Wan has spent seven years building a life around one man. She pays for the wedding herself, covers his bad investments, and keeps her family afloat while her mother saves every kindness for Lin Jiao, the fragile younger sister who can do no wrong. On the morning of the ceremony, she finally believes the waiting is over. Then a fire alarm goes off in the ballroom. There is one smoke mask. Her mother kneels. Her fiancé takes the mask out of her hands and carries Lin Jiao out, and Lin Wan goes down the stairs after him. The smoke was dry ice. The fire was a prank, and the cameras are already rolling. But the blood on her dress is real, and so is everything her family refuses to see.
